Marjorie Seedling plums at Cookham

Victoria Plums

ASPARAGUS STRAWBERRIES GOOSEBERRIES CURRANTS RASPBERRIES CHERRIES PLUMS BEANS PEAS SWEETCORN

At Iver we grow ( in order of ripening) OPALS, CZARS and VICTORIA PLUMS.Unfortunatly during the winter of 2001/2 we had to remove the Marjorie seedling plums from this site due to old age and disease in the orchard.Opals start cropping in August .

At Cookham we have OPALS, CZARS, VICTORIAS MARJORIES SEEDLING & GIANT PRUNE PLUMS

Plums are the 1st of our tree fruits to blossom starting sometimes as early as 3rd week in March ! They are therefore very prone to frost damage to the delicate parts of the flowers which can result in very varied crops from absolutly nothing to enormous crops of small plums, this is very frustrating to us as well as you the customer, unfortunatly this is out of our control and we dont really know the effects till mid may when we see the fruits beginning to form.
